a funny memory from a funny photo...

i just fand this photo by accident.
i was still in the usa and it was my second time for snowboarding....

And my face hit the ground at the end of the hill, just at the moment i thought i make it!! A lot of blood came out on my face, that really scared my collegue and guys in the bar at the snow place... :-)

am i afraid of it now? no, i love it , i love snowboarding. this winter definately i will try it again!

Wheather we like the apple design language or not, he is a very important person in design stage now. or we can say, steve jobs and he are driving the medien products trend now.

No.4 Hitter, SS : Chih-Hang Cheng

yesterday in the first 2 saison games, i have played as No.4 Hitter (the power hitter of the team), and ss (short-stop, the lead of infield diffense ). It's really my honor to play a such important roll as a new commer in the team.

i had 5 hits(an almost-homerun-2B) , but also 2 k and 2 errors. not really satisfied, but it's a good beginnig.

i really like my team. let's fight, buddy :-)

It ain't over 'til it's over

from my point of view, this is the best baseball saying,

which describt the game from yesterday. a real hard battle!!

we have finished two 5 inning-games in 7 hours with extreme high scores.

no matter how many scores u have or u lost, u can never give up. Til the umpire says "game over", u still have chance to turn the game.

just like many situations in our real life, before the god says "game over", it won't over.

go go go! my friends.

How is the new Mercedes S Class

Let's talk about the new mercedes s-class.
actually at the first moment i saw the photos of it, i didn't like it.
because there are many details , that apear without any reason.
and the whole design is not really progressive and attractive for young customers.

but after i saw the real car, i have changed my mind.
it's really better than i expected, especially the back view of it.
the details remind me on the old traditional mercedes, classic and kingly.
it might not so progressive as BMW but it is still just like a nobility.
i think the image is also suitable to this class of car.

A one-time Interaction

i call this idea a "single - time" interaction.
i like this idea very much.
Heine/Lenz/Zizka is a design firm in germany.

they have moved in 2004. below we can see 2 business cards of them.

one with the old address (the first one), the other with the new one(the second one).
we can remove the gray area with a coin ,
then appear the new address.

the idea is very simple, but strong!
i wish, every design of mine can like this :-)

Populating Space

my project in this semester calls Populating space:

There is an infinite 3d space, but empty. You are in power to generate population the fast and easy way.
Several questions arise: Which data available virtually or in real can be turned into 3d objects? Which sensors provide useful data? How data become information? Which kind of 3d objects are "good-enough" mappings? Can the mapping between input data and 3d objects made available for manipulation by the user? This is a cooperation project with Qwaq, Palo Alto/USA.

Food is the Heaven.

this is a privat project just for myself and my protfolio.
i call it a "warm-up" design, before the semester really begines again.

Food Is the heaven

Food has an important roll in Asian culture and daily life. The old Chinese saying “Food is the heaven” (Food is the most important thing in the life of folk) shows exactly how we treat it. The word “heaven” represent a divine meaning. In Chinese or related languages, “every thing under the sky (heaven)” is equal the world. Everything belongs to the people is given by the heaven, even the life itself.

Concept

The concept is based on the basic idea : to intensify the connection between heaven (sky) and hunman in a modern way.

A happy life

In Asian mentality a happy life is made of: cheerfulness, a successful career, a long life and a happy married life.

These four characters are the base of this concept and builf on the roof as the „interface “ between sky and human.

The four elements of a perfect life comes with the sunlight into the room, which is a optical way to present the meaning of sky (heaven) and human life.

First post for my first blog

hello every body,

here is chih-hang.
this is the very first post for my very first blog.
the reason why i set up this blog is to have a platform to exchange design ideas. (or more)
