3D graphic tracking

it is very interesting. now it still looks a little bit like a small game, but it can be very useful later, for many areas, like madicine, sport and 3D object-controlling...etc ;D

Maxfield

Maxfield is a manufacture for electronic products, like: mp3 player, phone, dvd player, navigation, and so on. we can say, it is lik ea small philips or sony.

here are some their products:

their design has a certain standar and the features are also not bad. everything is fine...
BUT the company is bankrupt! why?

they have interesting products, fine design, good functions, just like the other companies. what is the problem, why they can't make good business?

That's the problem! because they are more like a follower. they are small, trying to grap market from big, famous companies. if they just do , what the other do, why should the customers buy your product. at this point, it is difficult, BUT the company should be more courage to challenge , take a rick to create a combination of features or a new product, what the other don't have. define your market different. otherwise, you will have big competition not only from the big firms, but also from the cheaper competitors.

that is not because of bad product, but a bad definition and start-point.

what a pitty.

cool wall art

here are some intreresting wall art, i found.
for me, graphic, ornament oder pattern have a high importance. they show the spirit, thinking and embody our lifestyle. they use many elements to create a certain strong emotion, which changes the whole enviroment and influence the feeling of visitors intensively.

for me, the function of them is more like a software. let's take iPhone as an example. what outside of the display is no more that important. the interaction amazes people.

graphic, ornament and patterns, they are the interface of emotion.

Button illy Bar

Button illy Bar!
in a short moment, a ugly container transforms to a high-end bar.
not bad, not bad

design competition in china

design in china

design is becoming a hot number step by step in china. different as in europe or in the usa, people have a long history with industrial design. in far south east asia, design is still in the beginning, but it doesn't mean that, they have a bad quality.

intel competition in china

shanghai eletrinic

we can see it clearly, the design there is strongly influenced by "west" styles. they catch the trend very fast and developed interesting shapes. i would say, their style is quite colorful. BUT what a pitty is, i don't really see what is the spirit of chinese culture. i think, it is kind of a common problem in south east asia. (china, taiwan, hongkong, singapore...and so on).

at this point, i have to say, the japanese, thai design have really done good job. they keep the root-part of their culture and apply it to modern design.

form follows function

form follows function.
this is the motto of modern design.
but where can we find the example, that the designer really defines the the problem and creates a concept first?

here we go.

round bottle is not easy to be placed in the bag and it always moves around. so the japanese coca-cola designed a accurate bottle and solved the problem ;D

cool and simple!
