City Wall in Helsinki

city wall is a huge "Multi Touch" installation in center of helsinki.
it is build by Ubiquitous Interaction (Uix) research group of helsinki institut for technique information. the cit y wall shows the periodically the informations, photos of the city. with this interaction, the user can easily view, move, rotation and so on.

this is a part of IPcity project.

IDEA Award 2007

IDEA (International Design Excellence Award)
one of the most important design award (especially in the usa)

the different taste (derection) between IDEA , IF or Red-Dot, i think, we can betoken it as the difference between us-design and euro-design.

if u look at the idea, u will find, their design is not as clean, as perfect as european design,
HOWEVER there are more new, breakthrough ideas behind the design.
they try to be more progressive...(maybe it is just the us-character...i dont know)

anyway, it is very interesting to view it ;DDD

Want+Waste

If u ever cooked, u will like it ;D

yesterday we have celebrated for our first master ( kristin ) and the birthday of grit at merian and uli's apartment.(it is really a coooool apartment ) i have cooked super hot spicy chicken curry... see the photo below...well at least it was delicious XD. i think, i have raised the drink consuming in my town...

Red Dot design award selection : Ipod for water proof

many people like to listen to music in the bathroom. the idea here is to bring a simple ipod docking into the bathroom. i guess this one is just a design concept from nova design.

nova is a taiwan based design firm, which designs from idea to engineering and production.

a new scenario created a new product. not bad

Reddot design award 2007

once a year, red-dot design award (one of the most important design awards) nominates remarkable designs of the year. the winners of 2007 are already online now.

as usaul i would like to designate some remarkble products of me.
the first one is : sony pcm-d1 portable linear recorder


the design is not really a milestone. the reason why i chose it is it's character. if we look at the whole market, we'll see, the simpilicity dominates the design of a digital media product.

but this one shows the beauty of complexity and professional. u feel, this guy is something different. i like it!

Small Party at Anne's home

last saturday, we had a small party at anne's home.
it was really really nice with these guys from my school.
the cake was sooo tasty (from monika)
though it looks a little bit... (ha) ?
it was a nice event ;D

Motor Sport GTM

last sunday, my baseball teammate Gunnar and i visited the Motorpark Arena in Oschersleben (about 30 mins from my city, Magdeburg). on the day, there were really a full program for racing.

ADAC GT Matser, FIA GT Championship, Formel Renault 2.0...and so on

especially FIA GT, which is a international racing. if u r a motor sport fan, u will really love it.
the noise, the speed, it was really cool ;D

for me, cooking is the highest art of all. u use all of ur sences while cooking or eating.
u see it, smell it, touch it, taste it. all of the sences are comming together.
that's the best moment!

i am a person, who really like to eat and try.
to share food and eat with friends is really gret.

so my plan is:

Shoji Computer Concept by ZIBA

people asked me, why i like shoji. "it is nothing special."

well, it is really special for me. if u image, u are a designer, how would u design a desktop?
normally a designer will pick a box-like volume to design the shape.

but this concept, shoji, has brocken the box.

that's why i like it.
